Health Professor's Internet-based
HIPAAprof is selected by University of Texas and its
Affiliates for HIPAA training.
THOUSAND OAKS, California
(February 18, 2003)- Health Professor, Inc. a leading
provider of learning solutions
for the healthcare industry, today announced that
it has been selected by the University of Texas SOUTHWESTERN
HEALTH SYSTEMS, INC. to deliver training through
HIPAAprof's
Internet-based Learning Management System.
According
to their new agreement, Health Professor's Internet-based
HIPAAprof Learning Management System
will be used by UT’s ambulatory clinics and
4 (four) healthcare entities, including Parkland
Health
and Hospital System, Zale Lipshy University Hospital,
Children’s Medical Center of Dallas and St.
Paul University Hospital.
UT selected HIPAAprof’s
LMS and curriculum to meet regulatory training
requirements as mandated by
the Federal Health Insurance Portability and Accountability
Act (“HIPAA”). Set to go into effect
in April of this year, HIPAA presents a formidable,
urgent
training challenge for healthcare organizations.
This new federal legislation mandates that hospitals
educate
their employees to become fully proficient and
well informed of its specifications and requirements.
HIPAAprof's
online HIPAA learning solution, chosen by UT, jumpstarts
training initiatives to become HIPAA compliant.
"As the rapidly approaching deadline of April
2003 quickly approaches, HIPAAprof’s training
curriculum is increasingly becoming the just-in-time
learning solution
preferred by premier healthcare organizations-like
University of Texas," Clifton Gaus, President,
Health Professor. Return to News>> |
